About the event
Nature Rangers is a daytime supplemental homeschool program for TK-6th graders, designed to awaken and engage their hearts and minds through hands-on nature activities, art projects, nature crafts, scientific discovery, and interest-led exploration.
At our Santa Ynez Valley program, we offer a unique blend of mixed-age connection and age-tailored depth. Throughout the day, all children move as a single group—sharing hikes, storytelling, and field-based skills. This format fosters a sense of belonging, resilience, and peer learning, while allowing older participants to engage in more advanced naturalist work.
Older Rangers step into our Young Naturalist track, diving deeper into local ecology through hands-on field journals, foraging, and herbarium-building. These breakout sessions give space for challenge, curiosity, and leadership, while the group as a whole shares in the rhythm of outdoor adventure.
